Chamber of Commerce Breakfast sponsored by Baptist Health Emergency and Radiology Care center. I wish the amazing, dedicated doctors and staff the best in this State of the art world class medical facility. As they stated, "learn where they are before you need them." Signage and visibility is still a big issue for them. They are negotiating with the city for better visibility.

The blessing of this campaign is that I am meeting awesome people who are performing miracles. The Special Arts Center of Sunrise, Coral Springs, and Tamarac fosters creative expression for persons with developmental disabilities with color guard, art shows, TV production and more. Our special needs population of Coral Springs deserves more attention.  A Commissioner I will advocate for them. If you want to volunteer or more importantly have a family member who needs this connection E-mail the amazing Ellen Kleinert at flspecialneedscolorguard@yahoo.com

I met with the Coral Springs Lions Club. Our practice has partnered with them providing indigent vision care to the people of Coral Springs for the past 15 years. I talked about preventing blindness by promoting better health. Adult Onset Diabetes resulting in Diabetic Retinopathy is frequently caused by obesity and lack of exercise. It is the number one cause of blindness in the United States.

I also talked about initiatives to have every Broward County child examined at the age of 4. Astigmatism and Amblyopia are common preventable causes of poor vision, reading avoidance and poor athletic performance. They are an amazing organization and a great bunch of guys!
